Placement & Internship

Training and Placements form an important and integral part of ASK IHMCA program and are esteemed for their significance in hospitality and culinary education. Summer and winter Internship opportunities are provided to the students. It also enhances the skill of a trainee to acquire experience in all the potential jobs.

The One Year Diploma students undergo three months industrial exposure training during winter and the advanced diploma students pursue their internship in winter during their second year. After completion of the three months paid internship the students re-join the institute kitchen to specialize in the cuisine of their choice.

Degree students undergo 4 months Internship during their 4th semester in all the core departments in a luxury hotel namely in Front office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service and Kitchen. After completion of the internship the students prepare an industrial training report which reflects their internship learning experience.

The resource center finds an appropriate project in different hotels. The students have to accept the first offer he/she is provided. As a part of these coursework, students are requisite to submit a report. The presentation made by the student forms the base for the evaluation of the project work.

Hospitality Training is a short term process utilizing a methodical and controlled process by which trainees gain knowledge of technical facts and practical skills for a specific intention. Internship students to proceed step by step and expand a suitable career path.

Apart from giving the students a chance to check out the academic concept learnt in the classroom, the internship provides an insight into the functioning of the hotel. This also helps students to discover career opportunities in their area of Interest and understand the inter connection among diverse functions and develop a sensible decision-making outlook about the hotels.

A dedicated Training & Placement department cell of the institute helps to get the best from the hotel industry and offers to the students. Immense and wide association maintained by the institute with the hospitality industry ensures that all the best Hospitality choices are available to the students with regard to both Training and Placements.

After successful completion of the course the students are give opportunity to appear for campus placement interviews where different categories of hotels visit the campus and select the students.


  • Abroad internship is an option provided to all our students who desire to visit a foreign nation and pursue their paid internship.
  • This abroad internship provides an international industrial and cultural exposure to the students.
  • Students have to meet the travel expenditure, visa and service fee as applicable.
  • After successful completion of the Diploma and Degree courses the students are given an opportunity to apply for international jobs through the institute's international placement cell.
  • Once the students clear the campus placement interview, they are eligible to go abroad for which the students have to pay for their visa, air ticket and service fee as applicable.
